Ashley and her new babies, Sha're (Shar-ray) and Aurora. They are from two different mothers but were born on the same day, Feb 21st. They are pygmy/fainting/dwarf crosses but mostly pygmy. Their daddy is pure pygmy and is such a cutie though he did stink like all billy goats do. One's momma is the mother of the other's momma with a different daddy, so they are aunt and neice, or half sisters since they have the same daddy.
Learning to bottle feed isn't fun for them, but they are learning and already bonding with Ashley. They hollar if she is out of their sight, and we've only had them about 18 hours. The one thing that bothers me about taking them from momma is the crying for momma it breaks my heart, but it doesn't take long for them to adjust....thank goodness.
Ashley remembers bottle feeding my milk goats when she was younger and has commented alot lately how much she missed my goats. So we thought she needs her own and I think it was an excellant idea.
Have a wonderfully blessed day!
Love,
Erika

Dear Erika,
ReplyDeleteOh, my, how sweet! And a lot of work, but such a nice blessing to have kids around to take care of.
I hope to be sharing pictures of our own goats soon, Lord willing and we find our country place. :)
Love,
Marqueta
p.s. I'm signed in as my girls, but it's me!
Erika,
ReplyDeleteWhat precious animals. My heart would break at their cries for mama too.
Blessings,
Gina
