Vintage Thingie Thursday

I haven't posted here for awhile and before was only one time. I found these the other day while I was cleaning my room. They were in the box I received them in and were my grandmother's.

I remember she used them alot in her home. I haven't over the year with little ones. Now I have teens but am not into this kind of thing. They are very pretty and old.

Some have yellow stains on them they have been like that since I brought them home 11 years ago. How do I remove those stains does anyone have an idea or suggestion?

I have put them into a new box with new tissue paper, acid free to keep them safe. Besides the yellow they are in really good shape.

  3. They are wonderful! It's amazing how sometimes they aren't valued at sales - I've seen people grabbing handfuls and stuffing them in bags. Makes me cringe.

Im glad you treasure them :)

  4. I just love old doilies. They are so much from a different era. How sweet that they belonged to your grandmother.

  5. Very pretty! To clean vintage linens, I've had success with soaking in a bucket with a tiny bit of oxy clean. They should be white and refreshed after. It worked for mine!

  7. They're all so lovely, especially that one on the far right! I'm sure someone will come along to help you clean them. Probably Suzanne will know how. It's a shame to pack them away. They would look so pretty sitting under a flowerpot or vase!
    Happy VTT!

  12. Soak them in BIZ (found in a box near the laundry detergents). Follow the directions on the box and soon all the yellow will be gone! I recently soaked a vintage tablecloth that had lots of yellow. Now it's clean a beautiful.
