Going to the Farm...

We buy our milk at a dairy farm 5 minutes from our house. We love the milk they also sell cheese, butter, cream, sour cream, choc milk, soft cheeses, cream cheese, butter milk.....

Lately when hubby and I go there is always a brand new calf. And today when I went there were two and one was born as I walked up to the pen.

We live in the middle of farms all have cows and this time of year is calving season I have seen calves in the fall too. But, in spring it is fun to see all the new little ones or to see one being birthed right as your driving by the field.

It is also lambing season and kidding season. So there are lambs and kids (goats) all over the place as well as chicks and an assortment of young ones.

Mary went with me to get milk she was very well behaved and at first was scared, but I think she will be a great companion dog for riding in the vehicle. Yguy was put out that I got her a pink leash, collar, and halter, I told him shes mine and shes a girl so pink it is.

Isn't it amazing how spring is a time of new things. Baby animals, plants, trees come to life. I love spring, I really think it is my favorite season.
