Daybook April 6, 2009

For Today...April 6, 2009

Outside my window... It is sunny, a chilly breeze is blowing, the birds are chirping and being piggies at the bird feeders, and it looks to be a gorgerous day

I am thinking... about the the federal jury form I just filled out and hoping that I don't have to be on a jury and if so it doesn't ruin our plans for the kids summer camps and a camping trip coming up! I actually think it would be fun but with all we have going on this is not the time for this. And I knew when I registered to vote in this county I would be called and don't they realize people don't register to vote because they don't want to be called.

From the learning rooms… this week we are working on 4H projects for Thursday. They did their rough drafts last week and this week we are finishing up the posters. Ash's is on Flight fromthe beginning to combat planes. Yguy's is on Flyfishing and making a fly.

I am thankful for… The temple in our lives and how it makes the focus of our lives firmer more concrete. Our goals easier and our wants silly.

From the kitchen.... Nothing today I don't think well I do have potatoes cooling so I can make 2 breakfast cassaroles to freeze for later use. All they will have is eggs and potatoes diced up and then I will bake them cut them into individual servings and freeze. Makes very easier breakfasts!

I am wearing… A demin skirt and a deep pink top that is made of thick warm material since it is chilly today.

I am reading.... I just finished Twilight and so I have finished all the books for that series. They were good not what I was expecting in the forth one and I wander why I let my 14 year old read it but they were good well the 1st and 4th were. Now I have Hobby Farm Home to dig into for a few days.

I am hoping... to get all the laundry done today, to weed eat the yard where I mowed Saturday, and to just relax with my children while we read more about the 1600's theories on the universe.

I am creating... well I am finishing what the Activity Day kids started Thursday for the nursery kids. Quiet toys to play with during church. Felt figures, puzzles, and 2 felt boards with pockets to stuff the figures in. And a tie for hubby oh and those skirts I still haven't finished.

I am hearing... our windchimes in the breeze and the birds happily chirping.

Around the house... the moring chores are done, my mile walked, breakfast eaten, kids reading individual reading books, me skimming the internet for ideas and reading blogs, and quiet. And when I get off here we will be listening to classical music as it glides through the house sustaining the peace we have made.

One of my favorite things... fresh clean sheets off the clothesline. Which I will be getting off the line as soon as I get off here. The smell of them and to lay down in them at night is heavenly bringing the sunshine and spring in to sleep in.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Family Home Evening, serving a neighbor whose husband died recently helping her take care of her 7 horses, 2 donkeys, serveral dogs, and 20 cats. Stake meetings, Enrichment Night, to many things and not enough time for ourselves. I think our focus is a little off we seem to be forgetting ourselves while we worry about everyone else.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
My little azalea blooming its heart out last week that is the color of my skirt today isn't it delicious?
