Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY
February 16,2010
Outside my window...
Frosty 26 degrees...But the sun is coming up over the trees and looks to be a pretty day
I am thinking...
Not much...
I am thankful for...
Examples all around me of what I need to be

From the learning rooms...
Ancient Civilizations and maybe some gardening this week.
From the kitchen...
Got up my usual early time and now have bread in the oven yogurt in the yogurt maker and potatoes shredded  for making hashbrowns
I am wearing...
My long tiered flowery skirt and turquoise top.

I am creating...
Still have my aprons to make. Ash made herself a skirt this past weekend I posted about that yesterday.

I am reading...
Nothing at the moment

I am hoping...
For spring to make its way here soon. The dreary cold days are starting to get to me. But I know this to shall pass and spring will be here soon. I just need to have patience.
I am hearing...
The computer humming, Ash sitting at the table working on seminary, the oven making it usual noises when it is hot, the clicking of the key board as I type, and peace and quiet. Oh and now the timer the bread of done.
Around the house...
The dogs sleeping around the house in their favorite spots. One on his bed, one with her boy, and the other under her girls bed. The house actually stayed somewhat neat last night, Ash has her new (to her, we got it for $1 yesterday at the thrift store) camy jacket hanging on a chair, Yguy is asleep, bread is cooling and smells heavenly, I'm on the computer, chores need to be done, and school books taken out, oh and breakfast made for the kiddos.
One of my favorite things...
This week the examples of the women in the scriptures.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
scouts, young women, SRS meeting, Bi-stake activity Saturday, a baptism, my mom maybe coming Friday, Errands.....
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Over the weekend our youth put on a sweet heart dinner. Here is the sign and menu and then Ash watched the children so the parents could enjoy an evening together. Wyatt served everyone he had so much fun bringing drinks, salads, dinner, and then desserts. Our little congregation is small and we have 4 active youth 2 of them are mine. The other 2 couldn't make it that night conflicting schedules but it stilled turned out nice.

  1. It is wonderful to meet you! You have amazed me with all you have been able to get done already this morning!
I too love reading about the women in the scriptures. It sounds like your congregation might be tiny but full of faith and action.
Hot homemade bread sound incredibly delicious to wake up to. We had our for dinner last night.
    Come visit sometime! ~♥
PS What temple do you have on your post?
