Dewberries

We went to one of our surrounding little towns today to buy feed for the hungry chickies and on the way home we picked these. Our road is a semi paved road I think of it as a fancy dirt road. We have dewberries all over the sides of it and they are just coming into the picking faze. A quick stop to see what if they are ready produced over a pound of free wild goodness.
And of course I had to pick some Honeysuckle that was asking me to as well. The flowers are good for something but I can't remember what at the moment. The kids like to pull the flowers out and lick the sugary goodness dripping from them. I love the aroma they give off!

And does anyone know what this is. In Florida, it is called a stinging nettle and it surely stings. Dandalion has 300 varities, so does nettle have many varities as well and what ones are good for picking and using?

Have a blessed weekend
