What to do?

What do you do when you have to wrangle some chickens back in their yard, out of your garden and young plants?

The escape artists.....Maybe they are trying to escape their intended date with the butcher block and canning jar....

You rustle up some help from your local population of barn cats. They take orders well, and the commands are easy, "Kitty Kitty." Though they purr constantly and think they should play with the escapees sometimes, instead of doing the job at hand.

But their pay is easy some snuggle time and food, and they will follow you anywhere....literally

But the mighty sheriff will trip over her skirts you think, well when you have a job to do, you do what is necessary. You tie your skirts up, slip on your camy shoes, grab your dip net, and start huntin the fugitives.

And then, check on the trustees who never escape, and their only crime is fouling the water right after you have cleaned it. Of course a early morning bath is required in the little pool that they have grown out of. Do to tax cuts these fugitives will have to settle for a little pool until there parole time when they will be able to waddle to a bigger pool not provided by the tax payors expence.

Hope your day is as eventful....

Love,

The Sheriff

  1. Dear Erika,

So cute! Isn't farm life fun? I spent half an hour today putting sticks around my peas to keep our chickens out; they sure are good at destroying the garden!

    Love,
